I had a tour send-off party at my favorite local coffee shop and just like that, I was gone. My entire life packed away into my car and 100 days of poetry, performance, traveling and unfamiliarity ahead of me. In September I did shows and workshops in Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. I began the tour super-excited to see as much as possible and really live it. I took myself to art museums, on hikes, walks around cities, exploring coffee shops, food and local oddities. It was a month of new beginnings, adventure, exploring and feeling blessed to be touring the country and supporting myself on art alone. Here are a few goofy shots from that first month of travel.
