Oh man, no trips to Texas;-( Darn! You might try "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, I love that song, it always makes me want to dance. You could also try "Love Bites[But So Do I]", "Mz Hyde", or "Daughters of Darkness" all by Halestorm, the lead singer has a great voice if you like those tough sounding chicks!!! And Happy New Year to you too!
You should check out an indie band called Nico Vega. Here is a link to my favorite song. :) http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=L4aaSc...
i second anything imagine dragons! they are my new favorite band right now and ed sheeran is pretty great too!
I really hope you will come to Canada sometime soon for a book signing, that would be amazing. You have so many fans up here .. especially Brampton Ontario (hint hint)
I am abusing Morning Parade now "under starts"," us & ourselves" and "Speechless" are my favorites on their album. Hope you like them :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PL3...
Somebody that I've been listening to a lot lately is Frank Turner. Caught him at a Drop Kick Murphys show.
Youre not going to be close but are SO WORTH a ROADTRIP :D (If i can get a sitter....) <3 <3 <3 your stuff. I reread your books so often that Im going to have to order new copies :/ Thanks for your writing!!! Anxiously awaiting new releases!
You should definitely give Receiving End of Sirens a listen. They're one of my favorites. They have very poetic lyrics, and the guitar is pretty good. For excellent instrumental and decent lyrics, Neurosonic.
Happy New Year! Excited excited to read Twice Temped... I wish I could go meet you... :) I can't wait to read. Twice Temped
I have a music recommendation! Try "Feel Again" by One Republic. Also, "Little Lion Man" by Mumford and Sons. Happy New Year!
hey! i have a song recommendation "madness" by muse. it's my new favorite this week..btw Happy New Year!!
I'm loving 'Sounds Under Radio' right now... 'Sing' is definitely one of my favourites of theirs... Happy New Year to you and yours :0)
Some of the artists I listen to while reading... ESO - "Remember me" "The Divide" & "We are watching you", Zola Jesus - "Vessel", Kings of Leon - "Closer", Placebo - "Running up that hill", Karnivool - "Cote"
Can't wait to read Twice Tempted! I'm so excited I started reading all your books again. Wish you were coming to Chicago. I would have loved to meet you!
Some bands I like are Mumford and Sons. Their first CD was fabulous and I just got the second one. I also like The Avett Brothers from Matthews, NC. (Near Charlotte)They defy genre and sing 98% original material. It's a blend of rock and folk with an occasional grunge growl. Their live shows have incredible energy and are great.
Man, I wish Texas was in your line up. Maybe next time! I am so excited about the next book.Imagine Dragons is an amazing band, "Radioactive" and "Bleeding Out", being my favorites. "Sweet Disposition" by the Temper Trap is a good one. "Figure 8" and "Anything Could Happen" by Elle Goulding are both really awesome songs that I enjoy working to. Last suggestion (even though it isn't exactly alt or rock) is Lindsey Stirling...try Crystallize and Elements to see if it would be up your alley.
The fact that you listen to Seether, which is my all time favorite band, reaffirms that you are my favorite author. I love you!
I would love to make it to one of these signings....i'll try my best to make the trip. ..also crossing my fingers for the giveaway since the contest ends on my birthday Im hoping that's a good sign in my favor!
Okay, music is kinda like my second love (after books.) Looking at your list, here are my suggestions...Muse, Silversun Pickups, Arcade Fire, and Metric are kind of the obvious ones. Lesser known alt music suggestions...A Silent Film (their freshman album "The City That Sleeps" was my favorite album of 2011), Girls, Broken Social Scene, M18, Interpol, and the Dandy Warhols. If I want to hear some girls that rock I usually go to Garbage or No Doubt (both groups put out new albums this year.) If I'm in the mood to write a love scene, I like Ivy. I think I have four Ivy albums, and I love every single song. Be interested to hear if you like any of my suggestions.
