ALL CLEAR (tentative): WordPress has begun to function

I have got WordPress more or less working now, and want to test some things. The layout is not quite where I want it; I’m having trouble incorporating various kinds of graphics so that they display correctly. But for now, it’s a functioning bare-bones blog with navigation.
