I was confused as to why Callie would be afraid of losing the orchard to Jemima, since Jemima had sold it to Mr. Stiles, and Callie had bought it back (Fire Along the Sky). It seems it should have been Callie's property, and no longer Nicholas' property to go to any heirs. It made the whole premise of the book confusing for me.
