The last day of 2012 goes to Slayde and Drake from Mannies Incorporatred.

New Year's Eve. His first one with someone special to share it with. His first one in a long time he wasn't on shift in the madness that was the turn of the year. Drake thought maybe it was the first year he was really looking forward to celebrating both the past year and the one to come. He had a family now. A lover. It was pretty damn cool.

Mindy walked through, nodded to him. "Hey. You two won't be disappointed if I go watch the ball drop in my room?"

"Oh yeah, we're going to be just devastated." He gave her a wink. "Happy New Year, Sis."

"Happy New Year, dear. Kiss Slayde for me. He's in the kitchen creating some appetizer tray."

"Of course he is." Drake chuckled and headed into the kitchen. His own personal Martha Stewart was organizing food on a tray. Adorable. "You know I'd be happy with Cheetos and Twinkies, right?"

"I know." Slayde moved aside, exposing a bowl of day-glo orange chips and two Twinkies, among the other goodies.

Drake burst out laughing and stepped up behind Slayde, trapping him against the counter. "You do love me."

"With all my heart, Cake." Slayde winked at him, grinned.

He rolled his eyes at the nickname, but kissed Slayde. Fuck, the man could kiss.

When their lips parted, Slayde winked. "Happy New Year, lover."

He smiled and hugged Slayde to him. "Yeah. Happy New Year."

New Year and Twinkies.

And Slayde.

Life was good.
