This story tells a tale of deception and it's after effects. Uvi has written the story from the viewpoint of Yankle, the blessed/cursed. The story is memories of the deed and how it effected Yankle's entire life. It also makes one consider how having "favorites" actually effects the rest of the family. I enjoyed that Yankle intended to never have a favorite, but was unable to stop himself. Great story!
