Someone's getting a spanking - excerpt from RULES OF WAR

Today's six sentences are from my upcoming 1/2/13 erotic romance release, Rules of War . In the following scene, Emma is in a bit of trouble with her husband.


A lump unlike any other formed in her throat.  John stepped forward and grasped her chin between his fingers.

“I’m very disappointed in your behavior, princess.  I’m going to take you over my knee and spank your bottom until it’s bright red, and then I’m going to punish you in a much more intimate manner, one I doubt you’ll ever forget.”

In contrast to his threatening words, his expression had softened and his eyes warmed.  He stroked her face with a tenderness that tore her down and built her up at the same time.
