Ok… I keep language to a minimum at my house. I try not to curse in front of my kids. It’s just a principle thing. Really it’s just words and I could give a fuck less. It’s not that the words bother me, it’s that they bother other people and saying them in public or having my kids repeat them is disrespectful to those that do not wish to hear them. I try to lead by example. My 11 year old is at an age where I know he hears it at school, we hear it in the movies we watch together. It doesn’t bother me. He’s mature enough to hear it and not repeat it. Not hearing me repeat it helps too I hope.

He loves this song. I know my 1 year old and 7 year old would as well but they haven’t hit that maturity level yet. Normally I’d just download the radio edit but because Macklemore is president of the self produced artist club not held down by the heel of the man, he’s never released a radio edit.

And yes, I do find it entertaining that I hosted that song on our office server where we sell shirts that say things like “FUCK YOU YA FUCKING FUCK”. I’m a hypocrite, what can I say?
