It’s Harder to be an American
It’s harder and harder for an American to stand on his own two feet these days. I’m talking about real Americans — people who understand the values and ideals of liberty and individual responsibility set forth in our republic’s founding documents. We’ve gotten so far afield from what the founders envisioned for our nation that we’ve redefined them as a bunch of rich, white, slave-owning oppressors instead of the Enlightenment thinkers they were.
We’ve redefined our own country, a place whose opportunities once knew no equal, whose citizens enjoyed the highest standard of living possible, as a miserable, racist, “unequal” pit of oppression where, seemingly, only bad things happen and more than half the population are victims. We’ve told ourselves that if we just pass enough laws, if we just take away enough freedoms, if we just CONTROL enough people, why, we can march in lockstep toward some kind of utopia in which only politically correct, hypersensitive, emotionally weak, hand-wringing busybodies can tell everyone else what to do. We’ve declared whites an endangered species, redefined law-abiding gun owners as murderers, and turned a blind eye as union thugs trample, punch, and physically intimidate anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
We live in a “free” nation where our government tells you what light bulbs you can and cannot buy, how much of your money you can have back after the government is done helping itself, how much water can sit in your toilet tank, how many miles to the gallon your car must get, how large your soda can be, whether your lunch can be cooked with salt or transfats, and just how many cartridges your pistol can hold — if you’re allowed to own a pistol at all, and on the rare chance you might actually be able to take it somewhere outside your house.
Capable, armed, prepared, responsible citizens, producers, people who work, are an endangered species. They’ve been marginalized. They’ve been told they’re greedy and selfish, that they lack compassion, and that they’ve got to get out of the way so that “hope” and “change” can “fundamentally transform” a nation whose only real crime, it seems to me, was not spoon-feeding enough free stuff to the oceans of crybabies and have-nots who feel entitled to things they haven’t earned.
Today “socialism” and even “communism” are no longer dirty words. They’re now proudly proclaimed by an army of idiots who exist in enough numbers to reelect President Obama — a president so bad, presiding over an economy so bad, that our government had to lie about unemployment numbers to secure Obama’s reelection (then quietly revise those figures once he was safely in office for four more years). From where I’m sitting, all that “hope” and “change” looks like misery and oppression.
Now the libs are exploiting a horrible mass murder, in which multiple firearms laws were broken by a madman who should have been locked up for his mental illness, to attack the only means American citizens have of protecting themselves from the swelling criminal class and to resist the over-reaching of the libs and their minions. They’re going to disarm you, and they’re going to do it precisely because those of you who still believe in the Constitution are and always have been an obstacle to their desires.
You’re an endangered species. They’re already calling for your murder. They’re already trying to stifle and marginalize dissent. They’re already making plans for the glorious fantasy world in which they think it is possible to live, if only they can chain you down heavily enough.
Stand up or give up. Those are the choices.
