Ma'am? I've heard that, before he dove off the proverbial deep end, Dave Sim produced quality work with his Cerebus comics. As such, I've been interested in reading those particular works, and since I've heard varying opinions on the matter, I thought I'

This is a very, very personal choice, I can’t make it for you. I have lots of artists whose work I don’t want to look at or support because of their toxic viewpoints. I can certainly understand people feeling that way.


Cerebus, the earlier arcs especially, are undeniably brilliant and a pleasure to read and reread. It took me a LONG time to try them again after some of the awful stuff he’s said.


But the early stuff just seems like it’s written by a different person entirely, and contains some of the best-written female characters in comics.


It’s a very tough call. I don’t judge people either way, but I don’t really advise them on it, either. It has to be your choice. Good luck!
