Jabberwocky

I love John Tenniel's original illustrations for the Alice books. I spent some of my hour in line outside in the cold downloading the books to my iPhone Kindle and looking at them. As I remembered, the picture of the Jabberwocky battle looked almost exactly as the "oracular" picture in the movie (the poses, not the setting):





Check out the swordsman's hair and armor. I wonder if that inspired the movie? Love the Jabberwocky's waistcoat, too.
