So much SWEETER!

I remember my father telling me, "Money earned is so much sweeter than money received... by a gift or a prize."
I didn't understand. If your talking money, I'll take it anyway I can get it.

Fast forward... I'm older... yes, Tony was born the same year as I! For the reader who said she thought I was Claire's age...I LOVE you! But the truth is, I'm older.

Recently, due to all of you, I've experienced some of what my father talked about... earning money by hours, days, weeks, and months of work. It feels fantastic!

Last week I watched my husband graduate from college with his BS in Education. I was so proud. I watched him work so hard to fulfill this goal.

Today, I watched our oldest son graduate with his BS in Industrial Management. I can't describe my feelings! He "earned" that degree...

There were times we told our son, "Work hard, it will pay off."
I'm partial, but my son is a VERY hard worker. He put in hours and hours as a high school wrestler and did well... not great. Others did half the work and did great. We said, "Hard work pays off..." He didn't see it. Nonetheless, he kept working.

Today IT PAID OFF!

I've experienced some recent "Pay Off" not monetarily, but with AMAZING reviews and comments from readers.

It is true... the hard work, time and dedication makes the final award SO MUCH SWEETER!!!

I hope that anyone who reads this understands what I am trying to say... don't give up! Don't settle for anything less than that amazing self-satisfying feeling of the SWEETEST Success! The success that ONLY comes from hard work and dedication!

Nothing has ever felt better!

Robin Just curious, but since was Consequences was such a dark read.....just wondering what your family thought about it? It was definitely brilliant, but still it must have been awkward having your family read that? or not?

Congratulations on everyone's achievements in your family this year. Hoping that 2013 will be even better!

Great question! Consequences received mixed reviews from my family - kinda like from everyone else! lol However, my family has been super supportive of my writing. Even with as time consuming as it can be, they have been great!
