Gordon stirred the stew and then dropped in the dumplings, humming as the smell wafted up. Tomorrow they'd have a house full, but tonight was just the two of them.
"Mmm. Someone's making my favorite meal." Warm hands wrapped around his hips, Frank humming happily.
He chuckled. "Guilty."
"Mmm." Soft nibbles traced his hairline. "Everything is ready for tomorrow." One of the best things about Frank was his heart, the way the man took in every stray on earth.
"Excellent. I made sure all the sheets and blankets were washed. And the air mattresses are all stacked in the spare room." Everything was taken care of, tonight was theirs.
"Then tonight, I can enjoy my Christmas with you."
"Yes." Gordon turned put the lid back on the pot, set the heat to simmer, and turned in Frank's arms. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas." Frank's face was all smiles.
He brought their lips together, kissing his lover, losing himself in it, knowing Frank had him. It was his own personal miracle, right there.
