This weekend only, my publisher MP Publishing has announced the Kindle Edition of Cold Quiet Country is on sale for $2.99!
I'm thrilled at the move. I know publishers need to make money, and I understand the concept of a loss leader... but the reason I'm most thrilled is that more people will take a chance and read a novel that they otherwise might not. Cold Quiet Country has always been a protest novel. It's grit lit and reads like Wild Turkey goes down, but the point is not to be entertained. The point is create moral clarity, even it is only as fleeting as a reader's eyes dancing on my words, and disappears when the covers close. I want more eyes on the pages.
You can get your
Kindle edition here, or if you prefer to support small businesses, you can get your copy through an Indie bookseller. My favorite is
Left Bank Books, where they keep a good stock of Cold Quiet Country, and I swing by every now and again and sign them. You can read more about my beliefs on the arrangement
here.
