Grimm End #8: The Attack (Beta Edition)
By the time the sun had risen, a small crowd of people had been milling around in the mausoleum. Daniel had immediately gone to wake up their mother, Matthew and Jason. And Bramwell had summoned the Sheriff. Jason and the Sheriff both went to work examining inside and outside of the mausoleum.
Sara looked at what was left of the front of the vault where Thomas was laid to rest just the day before. She had picked up the plate that had his name and the years of his birth and death. Whatever they had used to bludgeon open the vault bent the plate and distorted the etched words.
She didn’t know why someone would steal his body. What would they want with it? Daniel had suggested that they would hold it for ransom. She didn’t think so. If they wanted to hold someone for ransom, the usual way would be to grab someone who’s alive, not someone who’s dead.
Daniel notice Gwen standing at the edge of the forest. She had stopped by to see if he wanted to take an early morning walk with her. Daniel told her the situation.
