The harshest critic

I read each and every one of my books when they appear in print form.
I read them as an unbiased reader picking up the book for the first time.
Though is that entirely true?

Can an author totally separate from the work they've created?

Yesterday, I read OVERTIME IN THE BOSS'S BED. And I loved it! Really, truly loved how the characters in my mind came alive on the page.
