So I have a question. Would it be weird for a white girl to cosplay as America Chavez (new member of the Young Avengers)?

I am neither POC nor a cosplayer, it’s probably better to ask people with more authority on this subject.

But my understanding of the community is that if you don’t resort to cultural appropriation or things like blackface or stereotype “humor,” most everyone seems to be okay with that.
