Word Counts: Blog Edition

t any given time there will be some sort of debate regarding word counts for novels. Acceptable word counts per chapter, and of course for the novel on the whole, but you almost never hear about acceptable word counts for blog posts. Why is that?

As a general rule I try not to let my blogs go past 1k words, in fact once they hit about 700 I worry that it might be a bit too much, but if it’s necessary of course I’ll go past it. But what is the acceptable length of a blog post?
