Re finishing a novel - it's like a child leaving home. It's liberating, scary, joyus and tragic. You knew it would happen one day (and hey it may still come home to visit). I'm in awe you wrote it by hand by the way!

I can’t say I can quite identify with children leaving home - but they definitely sound like the range of emotions I was experiencing upon completing the book! Especially the part about them maybe coming back home to visit..in this case in the form of editing and sequels. Its a bewildering array of feelings! Haha I write everything by hand! I actually find it easier than typing - the only problem/genuine nightmare occurs when I then have to type everything up..
