You can just see it in Rose’s eyes. All the memories. All those times when she would wake up and shuffle into the TARDIS kitchen and he’d be there making tea and he’d smile at her and beckon her over to him and she’d smile and fall into his embrace and he’d ramble away about how lovely she looked this morning and she’d just close her eyes and breathe in his scent and listen to his hearts beating and think about how she wanted every morning to be like this, to wake up and have him there offering her some slightly burnt toast and asking her where she wanted to go that day, and then they could come back after an adventure and snuggle on the sofa while watching Disney movies, and he’d dissect them as though there was some deep meaning beneath the words, “I just can’t wait to be king” and then she’d close her eyes and he would think she was asleep, so he’d begin to tell her how much he loved her and she would just listen quietly as he compared her to the stars…
