... to better answer your question though, maybe some kind of upper YA/new adult fantasy would be cool. The teens at my library who like fantasy are too mature for a lot of what we have and not quite ready for the "hard stuff"... I am always in search of quality fantasy for junior/senior HS-level readers...
I have notes for a sequel to my MG novel Fox & Phoenix, with the characters older and dealing with the consequences of their adventure. That might fit.
The trick is getting the book published. The first book needs to do well enough for the publisher to want another in the series. But...that's a worry for another day.
