RULES OF WAR - the excerpt that named the book

In celebration of the release of Rules of War being exactly a month away, today for Six Sentence Sunday I'm sharing the excerpt that helped me name the book. Coming up with titles is hard sometimes, but I was very lucky because after I wrote the last sentence in this excerpt - BAM! - I knew Rules of War was the perfect title. 


“Let me help you lie back down.” He shifted her on a soft blanket and placed another over her body. His gentleness caused something inside her to break and she blinked back moisture. She hadn’t realized how badly she’d missed human contact during her weeks of hiding. Would he hurt her once they reached their journey's end? What were the rules of war in this situation?



Rules of War will release on January 2nd with Lazy Day Publishing.
