December Musings
Aye, me hearties, it's December already! And December proves to promise countless hours of joy, family reunions and life-sharing via Christmas cards, phone calls, and gift-giving. I hope you're getting off to a great start planning your special time together with loved ones!
I'm working hard on a special Christmas gift this year, The Rogue's Prize, which is due to my editor, December 31st. For the first time EVER, I've got limited hours in my day for play and panic is starting to set in. Why? I want Captain Henry Guffald's book to be just as good, if not infinitely better, than Duke by Day, Rogue by Night and I'm currently working harder than ever to improve upon the original. That's a tall order in my mind, because I know a sophomore effort can make or break a series, and DBD,RBN has been a gift to me in so many ways. And so, dear readers, with hopes of publishing Redeeming the Rogue, Lord Garrick Seaton's story, 3rd book in the trilogy, I've got high standards for making Henry's story a gallant success.
The Rogue's Prize promises sword fights, rollicking adventure, passionate interludes, daring rescues... and more. Henry and Adele Seaton can't be any more alike or different, but throw them together and sparks fly. And we all know what sparks can do between a man and a woman, don't we?
My Christmas cards are done and we're getting started on decorating our humble abode. My two sons, one in the Air Force and one in the Army, will be coming home for the holidays and my oldest daughter will be giving birth soon. I have so many things to be thankful for this season and I hope you do too.
Well, I'm off to 1805 and more adventure along the Cornish Coast, me hearties.
Remember the rum!
