A Splendid Defiance is due for release on Amazon and Smashwords on December 8th. Although the love story between Justin and Abby is fictional, the majority of the rest of the book is not. It's a true account of an English Castle & town during the Civil War.

imngrer I first read this on loan from a library and then very luckily bought it when the library was selling off books (something to do with government policy to replace older books with new purchases).

Is there any chance that we will ever the last unpublished civil war novel? To my mind these are the best and my favourite of all so far was Garland of Straw, especially the interweaving of Gabriel's activities with the Putney Debates.

Unfortunately, I am boycotting Amazon and KOBO at the moment so I am not sure if I will buy this one to see the extent of any changes.

R I've been wanting to read this for a while, but my library didn't have it (and neither did any of the other libraries in my state in our inter-library loan system.)

So looking forward to finally reading it :)
