Since it's disgusting me inordinately this year, and since a family member assures me I'm losing out on all kinds of business by not having a sale at my online store, I've opted to post a statement on my main page instead.

I was just trying to explain to someone yesterday why I find the materialism of the season icky. I'm not sure why it hit me especially hard this year, but it did.Happy belated Thanksgiving to you too!
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the date myself. It just encourages people to be even more materialistic than they already are, which is the exact opposite of what Thanksgiving and Christmas are actually about. And who wants to go shopping along with hoards of other people willing to trample you to death to get a new TV? Not me.
Anyway, that being said, Happy belated Thanksgiving!
