Climbing the walls

Well, staring at them. Noticing the fine detail, the little ridges and valleys, the bobbles and pits left by the action of the roller as it splurged paint on the bare plaster. It must have been a while ago; the residual stains of squashed insects are visible here and there, their short lives abruptly curtailed without a thought for their children. Oh! Think of the children!
