Scripture for the Second Saturday in Lent

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." ~ Matthew 5:44 (ESV)

Lord, it's easy to love those who love me and who do good to me. But it's so hard to love those who hurt me. Cleanse my heart of hatred and fill it with love for my enemies as well as my friends. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
