The Next Best Thing!
I was tagged by Jenna Bennet to do a fun promo post where I answer a few questions about my current manuscript, and then I go and tag some authors to do the same. First things first? Check out Jenna’s site!
Okay, and now the questions!
1. What is your working title of your book?
As of right now, it’s titled Resisting Love.
2. Where did the idea come from for the book?
I love writing stories that involve falling for someone you shouldn’t. In this case, the hero is a man who thinks he can’t love or isn’t deserving of love (perhaps both)–yet he can’t stop these feelings that are bugging him about the heroine…who is also his best friend’s sister. His FIVE best friends. All older brothers. All VERY protective of the heroine.
3. What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary Romance!
4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Heroine (Morgan)? Emma Watson. Hero (Keith)? Chris Helmsworth.
5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
What do you do when the one woman you’ve sworn to never touch…is the one you can’t keep your hands off of?
6. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
It’ll be published through a publisher.
7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Still working on it. I’m only about 13,000 words into the book.
8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Hmm. I guess Tempting the Best Man or my own Try Me.
9. Who or what inspired you to write this book?
The characters! They are so much fun. I’m especially having a fun time with the older brothers–something I never had.
10. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
It’s filled with laughter, drama, fun, and SEX! Hehe.
