Tuesday Talk: Insecure Heroines

Most of us in real life have insecurities one way or another. So when escaping to romance, do you read books about insecure heroines?  What would be over the top for you?  What are some of your favorite books with heroines that aren't perfect and have some insecurities? Can you relate to them?

In a romance, we all want to relate to the heroine. We want her to be likable. We dread that phrase, TSTL.  But to keep a story realistic, sometimes these things slip in.

What are your thoughts? As a reader, as a writer?
