Partly by choice and partly not…I left Firestorm because it was just not going in the direction I intended. Then I worked for ages on a baby Birds of Prey-type presentation (with Spoiler, Misfit, Bumblebee, and Black Alice). That fell through but took up an exhausting amount of time. I’ve had several projects offered that didn’t really grab me, and I’ve offered several things that didn’t go anywhere for one reason or another.

I was also working on stuff that’s gone through but hasn’t been published yet, like LEAVING MEGALOPOLIS and my project with Ethan Van Sciver, as well as a THRILLBENT book, and some outside work like Bongo and other stuff.

I took a bit of a break after Firestorm, that was just a really frustrating situation for all concerned and it was fine to just be doing one book and side projects for a while.

It’s a confusing time, there’s a lot of hurry up and wait, a lot of sort of last-minute zigzagging. If all goes well, I’ll be announcing a couple other books soon.
