the Upper Peninsula

Tonight I returned from Michigan Technological Institute in snowy, remote Houghton, MI. I gave readings/signings of two of my books, The N Word and What Obama Means. The students were attentive and engaged, and the faculty and staff were wonderful hosts. I got out of town just before an expected snowfall of 10 inches.
