Rant of the Day

Rant of the Day:

For those of you who don’t know (probably most of you), I consider myself a fairly moderate person on the political spectrum. (Yes, I’m one of those annoying people who would vote for Al Gore one election, then George W. Bush, then Barack Obama the next.) Anyway, I think because of that I can view these elections with a little bit more objectivity than someone who skews toward one end or the other.

You’ll recall that back on September 13th I wrote QEternity would ensure two things: (1) an Obama victory and (2) that the inevitable consequences of printing to oblivion would lead to an epic crash. So as I think about our structural deficit near 10% of annual GDP (very much unsustainable and not likely to change following a status quo election), and my futuristic novel, “Flexon Vale,” I can’t help but feel pity for the President. (And I’m not particularly a fan of him; nor am I of Mr. Romney—shocker!) He seems like a genuinely good person, but the Sovereign Man blog lays it all out for anyone to see why it really didn’t matter who won this election—on our current track he will simply be shuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic…
