My story about Chick-fila:
My mother worked at the Woolworth's in Greenbrier Mall back in the 60s and 70s. At one time the front of the store had a pet department but that was taken out in favor of a small counter with a few chairs tucked in front. Behind was a grill. It probably was 100 square feet at most, or at least it felt that cramped even if it wasn't. It was the very first venture for Chick-Fila outside of the home store in Hapeville. I worked in the store during my summer break from school and I probably ate chicken sandwiches every day. They became so popular that when a space came open in the mall, the silver counter in Woolworth's and all their sandwiches moved to its own space. >>>>> Read Entire Post
