First Post!

I am re-entering the world of blogging, which Goodreads has conveniently given me easy access to. This might be a good sign, as far as consistency goes, even more so if I keep this blog centered on books and writing, instead of everything distracting under the sun.

If you don't know me, I'll begin with a brief introduction and move on from there: I've been writing fiction and poetry for about twenty years, along with being a lifelong reader. I "officially" began my writing career in 2007, after winning two local poetry slams and twenty publications in two years.

In October, 2012, I released my debut novel of humorous rock & roll fiction, The Road to Fluffer. I live in Saginaw, Michigan with my family and work as a Paralegal in Flint.

The book is getting a lot of interest and for that, I am thankful. I also had a bit of good luck by winning a month's worth of front-page ad space at http://www.thereviewreview.net/, which required me to whip up a small banner ad in about an hour. I think it turned out as well as I could get it, not being a visual artist by most stretches of the imagination.

Anyway, that's about it, in a nutshell.
