working on my new study

I am doing a new study, and just finished the accent wall behind the desk.
Rather fitting, I think, for an author who writes Medieval romances.

I have always love Accolades by Leighton, so was very thrilled to find
it in a tapestry that just the perfect size to fit the wall.

BlackTulip LOVE it ! Years ago I worked for a while in an Art Gallery in Paris specialized in Antic Tapestries and I have to say that it was a joy to go to work every day and be able to admire them (and to work of course !) all day long ... I had to learn a lot very quickly and I don't think I learned so enthusiastically in my life after that ! When I left the owner gave me two beautiful books as a gift. Each time I open these books it's always such a pleasure and it's also an opportunity to dream .....
Thanks for sharing :)

Deborah thanks. I little different putting a tapestry on the lower part of the wall, but after I had the accent shelf done, I could just see this particular one there. I loved how it turned out. It started out as a project to frame the mirror, to update it, but then it quickly expanded to the shelf, then the corbels...
