Does Networking Help? by Marian Lanouette

What I’m reading this week: Readers Shadow E-magazine debut issue. What are you reading?

This week I got the most wonderful surprise. A new e-magazine created by a reader hit the internet yesterday. On the cover was my December release As the World Ends. The shock and the excitement made my day. Not only was it chosen over so many talented authors and books. It was also picked to be reviewed. As the World Ends received five stars out of five stars. Did I cry with joy? You bet.

This was a huge honor. Once again, I want to take this opportunity to thank Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, Kate Felix Mizanin.

How did I grab the coveted cover? I honestly don’t know.  Some might call it networking. I call it making friends wherever I go. In the last two years, I’ve met some incredible, talented people who shared their knowledge and friendship. One of them was this brilliant young lady I met last year online when she started up the Read2Review site. We hit it off immediately and started conversing with each other. She in England, me here in the states. What I found was a brilliant mind. The knowledge and ambition it took to create a site to showcase her love of books, amazed me. It was professional and eye-catching. A site I hate to leave. I read everything on the pages before I hit the close button. You see, Read2Review’s Kate had a vision and in just one year, she has had over 70,000 visitors to her site. And not just in England, no she took this international. Pretty impressive, isn’t it?

I love going into the site daily to check out new author and titles. Obviously, I’m not alone.

If you are an author reading this, I would rush over to the site and check it out. If interested, you can contact me off loop and I will supply Kate’s email for an opportunity to network with her and see how and when your book might appear in the magazine.

If you are a reader http://www.read2review is a site and magazine that will draw you in to worlds beyond the ordinary. It covers all genres and I’ve found the reviews to be right on the money. Enjoy.

Click on the magazine cover to your right. It will take you to the emagazine and on your left, click read.
