Super-storm Sandy wreaked havoc. Now Americans begin to rebuild and recover from the damage. The untold part of that rebuilding will come from the countless Americans who will leave home to help and/or give generously to support their fellow humans.
While in Lowe's this week to purchase some shelving, I met Mike. He recently started working there to earn money so he can invest most of his available time helping people through disaster relief efforts coordinated by his small Baptist church. Mike has helped in places like Joplin, MO; Anniston, AL; around the gulf coast after Katrina and other storms; and even in Japan after the tsunami/earthquake disaster there.
Mike and his wife live in an RV so that they can be flexible and ready to serve anywhere when the need arises. They raise money to help disaster victims, coordinate with other volunteers around the globe, and focus their lives on serving fellow human >>>>> Read Entire Post
