March Issue

The March issue of Essence magazine is now on newsstands, and I'm happy to have received a very nice write-up about A Taste of Honey. It was chosen as the magazine's 25th Book Club pick. Essence was one of the first major publications to run my byline. It was a short essay about life in an inner-city neighborhood. I'm thinking it ran in 1988.
