A few shots from Fierce Reads 2 (The Refiercening)
Top: Our first event at the Warren Newport Library outside of Chicago; the view from our hotel in Philly; Outside of Cover to Cover in Columbus with our publicist Molly.
Middle: Signing stock in Barnes & Noble; at Capogiro Gelato in Philly with our publicist, Courtney (many thanks to Yagathai for the rec—the hazelnut was sweet genius); Marie signs the wall at Cover to Cover.
Bottom: Signing stock at Square Books in Oxford, MS; On the road (yup, I’m checking my twitter feed); Final stop at Books of Wonder, NYC (we were trying to look like we were napping, but we mostly look like we’re cuddling and that works, too).
I’m shocked to hear myself say this because I think of myself as a very solitary sort, but… I think I may really like touring. Getting to meet readers is easily one of the best parts of this job, so HUGE THANKS to everyone who came out, to my fellow ferocious authors, to the booksellers and librarians who hosted us, and to the people at MacKids (I’m looking at you Kate Lied) who made it all possible. So much for my degree in misanthropy.
(If you didn’t make it to one of the stops and you’d like a signed copy of Shadow and Bone, I’ve listed the stores who now have signed stock on my site: http://leighbardugo.com/signed-copies)
