You talking about Ben? He's very good at promoting himself, online and in person, and a lot of people were buying his books because they'd already chatted to him on Twitter etc - I'd already met him at a couple of events and chatted to him on Twitter. So I think it's about more than just grabbing people, it helps to have a linked-up online presence and also getting out from behind the table and meeting people in the bar etc. You said about Eastercon; I think we should go, but as punters and panelist volunteers rather than just dealers.

it's in bradford next. easier than glasgow the year after. be good to meetpeople i think! :) never been to a con as a guest type. so sure. we can goooo. have to find cheap hotels? never been to bradford. it's not glamourous sounding!couldn't go to the bar. can't druink on my meds and all that booze is mean! :)
can't do twitter :( i did try and promote online. hmm. must try harder
