Heading home from GRL!
Had a great time at GayRomLit 2012, but man, am I glad to be heading home! In fact, this is one of those times when I wish I could snap my fingers and wake up in my own bed . . .
What made this trip extra-special was being able to meet my former critique partner/current editor/Internet pal Aleksandr Voinov, who flew across the pond from the UK especially for the convention. Everybody else was pretty stoked to meet him, too - he had scads of people trailing him everywhere he went! I joked about him being the Elvis of the convention!
I also met the amazingly energetic Stephanie Grober, Riptide Publishing's Marketing Coordinator. She had everything so amazingly organized and cruised through the entire weekend with a smile.
In fact . . . I just happen to have some pics to commemorate this exciting event!
(From left to right) Me (with my eyes closed, natch!), Aleks Voinov, fellow authors Abigail Roux, LA Witt and Brien Michaels.
Me and fan Will Prater (aka, "Hug Slut" :)
Randy, who stunned me by showing up wearing a t-shirt with the cover for my book Once a Marine on it!
Oh, and apropos of nothing (*koff*), here's a pic of Michael Fassbender looking sexily Satanic with his ginger beard and gasp! black leather driving gloves . . .
And last but not least, Riptide's continuing their anniversary celebration with another Super-Sale!
Save 50%, one week only!
Favorite authors. Favorite books. Up-and-coming stars. This week's Anniversary Super-Sale features six titles across five genres that share one thing in common: the book or the author or both have been wildly popular with readers and reviewers.
Fan favorite Cat Grant breaks the traditional M/M mold with Doubtless, an uplifting tale of self-discovery and love that has nothing to do with romance.
Up-and-comer Fiona Glass, whose new release, Gleams of a Remoter World, hit the shelves this weekend, brings us her first Riptide story in Necessity's Door, a rentboy story with uniquely British humor and flair.
Speaking of humor, longstanding community pillar Storm Grant brings us young love (and hilarious beer-drinking hell-monsters) in her urban fantasy novelette, Few Are Chosen.
Anne Tenino's equally hilarious romcom, Frat Boy and Toppy, was a 4-star review at Romance Times and a Dear Author Recommended Read, not to mention one of Riptide's top sellers of all time.
Rachel Haimowitz's epic fantasy novel, Counterpoint, put her on the map in the M/M community over two years ago and is still going strong, with nearly 650 4- and 5-star reviews on Goodreads.
And lastly, double-Lambda-finalist Lori Witt puts a unique cyberpunk twist on a human-vampire love-hate relationship in A Chip in His Shoulder.
Don't miss out on this fabulous bundle, or the fabulous savings to go with it. Until October 27, purchase all six books together for 50% off. Already have some? Each individual title will be 30% off, this week only.
Time to get on the plane! Catch you all once I get home! :)
