Again...

I just wanted to once again thank everybody who has supported TUW over these past few weeks. I published this book with absolutely no kind of marketing strategy and none of my family and friends were even aware of my intention to finally publish (I only told them all a couple of weeks later - and I only announced it on my FB page yesterday). But because of the wonderful people on the Amazon.com Romance forum and the readers on Goodreads who gave my book a chance, TUW is currently at #33 on Amazon.com's Contemporary Romance Best Seller list and #15 on the Hot New Releases list.

This has surpassed any of my expectations by several millions miles and I know that I have only you all to thank for that.

So once again my humblest and most sincere thanks.

Beeg Panda I SAW your book's ranking on Amazon! YAY! Very happy for you!

Your fam and friends must've been so surprised when they found out, and so proud too, I'm sure.

Can't wait for the next one :-)

Natasha Anders Yes! My mother's been trying to explain the concept of e-publishing to my gran and aunt but it's difficult since they haven't really seen Kindles. And my poor mum doesn't quite get it either. But my brother has been showing her the book's reviews on Amazon and she's very proud. Comments from my friends have been mostly of the "Wow! I didn't even know you wrote" variety :)

Melanie♥ Well, they certainly know that you write (and write well!) now, don't they?? LOL!

message 7: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Anders Yes, the cat's out of the bag on the whole writing thing now.

Beeg Panda LOL, it's like you've "come out"!!!

How did you keep your writing under wraps? Gosh, so you put it out there on your own? Youre very brave and now I'm more glad that TuW has done so well. (....more glad? I'm sure that's not correct grammar usage, but you know what I mean...lol)

I can imagine your mum and gran grappling with the concept of e-reading. I tried explaining to someone recently and seriously, they looked at me like I had two heads. I eventually just gave up because even to myself I was starting to sound downright idiotic.

Natasha Anders That's what I told everybody, "I'm coming out of the romance writing closet" :D

I've been writing silly little stories all of my life and those who grew up with me, or who know me well, are aware of that. But I've always shied away from letting any but a very select few read what I'd written. My parents always encouraged me, I remember the first banged up, ANCIENT, typewriter my father brought home from work when I was about 13. That thing was so heavy I couple barely move it across my desk and the keys kept sticking. But I loved it! They then got me a second hand electric typewriter and eventually a secondhand word processor. They were so sweet.

Most of the friends I made after high school were unaware of my writing secret though and they were a bit astonished by this news.

Sheila I want to know what's next?!!!!

Besides the price of the book, I'm out a box of Puffs :)

Just what I was looking for for the weekend.... a good book for a good cry
