Your fam and friends must've been so surprised when they found out, and so proud too, I'm sure.
Can't wait for the next one :-)

How did you keep your writing under wraps? Gosh, so you put it out there on your own? Youre very brave and now I'm more glad that TuW has done so well. (....more glad? I'm sure that's not correct grammar usage, but you know what I mean...lol)
I can imagine your mum and gran grappling with the concept of e-reading. I tried explaining to someone recently and seriously, they looked at me like I had two heads. I eventually just gave up because even to myself I was starting to sound downright idiotic.

I've been writing silly little stories all of my life and those who grew up with me, or who know me well, are aware of that. But I've always shied away from letting any but a very select few read what I'd written. My parents always encouraged me, I remember the first banged up, ANCIENT, typewriter my father brought home from work when I was about 13. That thing was so heavy I couple barely move it across my desk and the keys kept sticking. But I loved it! They then got me a second hand electric typewriter and eventually a secondhand word processor. They were so sweet.
Most of the friends I made after high school were unaware of my writing secret though and they were a bit astonished by this news.
