So You Wrote a Book

This is exactly why I've kept my writing self hidden at my day job - like a secret identity...

Because now the new woman hired to supervise one of the departments I help out in can't stop talking about her self-published erotica book and what a fabulous writer she is.

It's not like I want to pack boxes for a living, either (trust me), but every time I walk in she starts in on the fabulousness that is her writing. She radiates self importance.

When I'm at work, I want to focus on work. Once I'm out of work I'm all about writing, networking, and reading. But I keep the two separate cause at the end of the day, my co-workers aren't book enthusiasts (at least not YA ones) and they don't give a rat's ass that I write novels. I don't expect them to. Cause I don't care about their home projects, passions - whatever - either.

So zip it, lady, and let me do my job so I can get back home and do what I love best. Write!
