The Friends I Keep!

I got a great letter from Fan Ambassador Wendy Lee Paffenroth.   She received the ten excerpts for The Inn at Rose Harbor and handed them out to friends, who then purchased the book.  After they read the story the group decided to go to dinner and discuss the plot.  Apparently their discussion garnered a lot of interest, because the lady at the table next to them leaned over and said, "Wow, you have some very interesting friends."  Wendy wrote to say the lady got quite a kick when she realized the people they were discussing were fictional.  This reminded me of the time another writer and I were discussing her plot while on the ferry.  She was trying to decide how to kill off the antagonist.  Come to think of it, we got plenty of stares ourselves!

Chelsea When I read the title of your blog, I was reminded about one of my newest goals--to be surrounded by kind, spiritual and happy people. I will still be of service to those in need but I have decided not to let others use me and abuse me anymore, and surround myself with people who give my circle of friends peace and happiness.

As a church, we believe this kind of love naturally spreads out to others to feel through their spirits.

Thanks for your blog.

Averill I am organizing a reunion of sorts...we live in a small town and have been friends for years...inviting all the gals who moved away to come home next summer to celebrate turning 65...so I guess you could say they are the friends I've kept...they live all across Canada and one in Mass. and belated Happy Birthday Debbie

I agree on creating friends mentioned on the blog above and looking for supportive understanding people makes the journey of life worthwhile and yes I like the " cozy women friendship " theme that Debbie maccomber uses - I have "Tweleve Wishes" book on Blossom? Street! Have a sunny day!(from Cathryn)

Chelsea I have only read one of her books so and loved it! It was one of the Christmas books. I was feeling down and saw it on the shelf while looking for books at the library. I really want to read the series in order.

Debbie Macomber's books are great...most of them bring me a sense of warmth on a cost night..... *)

Chelsea I am slowly leaning towards reading more mysteries and stories that are not murder mysteries. I feel like I want more in my life than murder stories. I have ordered a couple from the library and hope to get them soon! :-)

Heeee....that is terrible!!!!! If I had your email address I would have scan some pages and emailed them to you , especialy with during this cold winter time (nothing like our man Hagar in winter whilst having hot chocklate in the evening to giggle).... it is winter on your side of the world isn't it?
You can also google him and find many of his cartoons... 8)

May you have a lovely evening whilst giggling over Hagar's adventures!

message 19: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea That's what I am going to do! I hadn't thought about just finding him online. :-)

It is late Fall where I live but since I live in a sub-tropical area (southeast Florida, USA), it is still pretty warm here. BUT even here, I LOVE hot chocolate! LOL

Thanks Lily!

There is something about reading'n giggling over Hagar whilst having a hot dark chocolate....I am on a diet (again) right now and have to play around my calori intake so that I do not give up on my chocolate....
