Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is an American hard rock group fronted by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, and drummer Tico Torres. Since Alec John Such’s departure in 1994, the band’s members have remained unchanged for the past 25 years. Even though their 1984 self-titled debut album was a success,it was their following releases Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988), which catapulted the band to superstardom, and gave them hit singles like “You Give Love a Bad Name”, “Livin’ On A Prayer”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”,”Bad Medicine” “I’ll Be There for You” “Born to Be My Baby” “Lay Your Hands on Me”, and “Living in Sin”.
Bon Jovi Touring
To keep the momentum the Bon Jovi toured non-stop, opening for Kiss, the Scorpions and Skid row and Ozzy Osbourne. After this the band went on a hiatus in 1990. However, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released successful solo albums. In 1992, the band reformed to release the double platinum album Keep the Faith, and has continued to churn out hits. The 2000 released Crush album endeared the band to younger fans and was also their most successful studio album since Keep the Faith.
Bon Jovi Grammy Award
In 2006, Bon Jovi won a Grammy Award for best Country Collaboration for “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” with Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. Also In 2006 Bon Jovi were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame.Their latest album Lost Highway was released in June 2007 and contains the hit single “(You Want to) Make a Memory”. A Far Cry from Sunset
It tells of the adventures of four friends traveling the world to ask ten famous artists to appear Having been a singer/songwriter my entire life, A Far Cry from Sunset is the title of my first book.
It tells of the adventures of four friends traveling the world to ask ten famous artists to appear on a tribute album to an unknown songwriter and making a documentary of their quest. The unknown songwriter in question was myself.
Apart from being a road trip tale of epic proportions it is also a memoir of my life in music from the mid 70s til the present day.
It was released on Amazon a few weeks ago and for one day was the fourth best selling paperback and the number one selling book in the music category.
