So here I am catching up with Batgirl and I get to issue 12 when I notice that Katharsis' name is Kulap Vilaysack. Well ain't that neat? Worlds colliding! Is this a reference the Kulap of Earwolf/Who Charted?/general funniness?

It is, Katharsis is Lao, and named after the amazing Kulap of Who Charted fame.

I have snuck a few other of my favorite comedians’ names in the books, like Paul F. Tompkins, Mike Drucker, and a few others. I am a huge fan of the alt comedy scene, and adore these people, who are every bit as kind as they are hilarious.
