Publishing, thy name be Tortoise

I went to several family gatherings of late, where quite a lot of family directed queried, "Are you still writing?"

My last book was released in 2010...so it's only fair to ask. What those who do not share this particular brand of madness fail to realize is--writer's write. Whether they like it or not.

I will have a new release in September and just got the first cover sample, so wanted to share it. I LOVE IT.

This book, Where Bluebirds Fly...was borne of fear.

I eat, sleep and breathe different--from the special needs children I work with to the long weaving thread of Asperger's in my family--I was musing on the progress of some children, whom I heard dire predictions from Physicians, 'they will never this and that' to do SO VERY WELL.

Being the history obsessive student that I am, I mused, what would've happened if someone with Aspergers (a social difficulty) or a distinctive physical difference, such as heterochromia (two different eye colors) was born in 1692. In Salem.

I of course knew the answer. Bad, bad things.

This resulted in a trip to Salem and so many historical tours it would bring a non-geek to their knees. Luckily, my geekiness runs strong lol.

It also led to a map of Salem Town from 1792 going in my study, and of course a book with some of the original transcripts of the trials going on my shelf in my study. Prior to release, I'll post some of it here...and at Blame it on the Muse...and i"m visiting quite a few blogs- Night Owl Romance for one.

Here it is. For those of you who liked Bride of Blackbeard-I daresay you'd dig this one too.
