What would be your advice to aspiring writers?
“The same advice I was given by my writing teacher, Ben Masselink, which is that discipline protects the talent. Writers write. They write in spite of the fear that the words on paper will stink. They write in spite of rejections, the state of the industry or lack of book sales. They write because they have to and they love going into their imaginary worlds to see what those characters will do next.”
