Some days you need a fine sable brush. Some days you need a ball peen hammer.

It was a 1400-word hammer day. It doesn't always have to be "either" "or". I think instead of two different beginnings, I wrote a beginning and a middle! So far "sweaty" opening won, with "autumn" opening transformed into nifty plot advancing mid-story business. Whoo hoo!
